The Cambridge Secondary Course (CUP) is a course in English for students in secondary schools in Spain.
It is based on educational principles and features cross-curricular topics, learner-choice and decision-making with a clearly-structured, active approach to grammar and vocabulary learning. The course was extensively piloted throughout Spain for three years prior to publication and was developed to meet the needs of the 'Reforma'. (The course also exists in a shorter version, Cambridge English Worldwide.)
The course exists in versions for Spanish speakers and Catalan speakers, and includes bilingual wordlists and grammar summaries.
The teachers book shows how the course relates to ministry requirements and includes an A to Z of Methodology, and a full rationale which explains educational principles in language teaching. Both are available at this web site, as well as the syllabus 'maps' for each level.

All levels of the course are now available:
Level 1 - for students with some knowledge of English
Level 2 - for students with approx. one year of English.
Level 3 - for students with approx. two years of English
Level 4 - for students with approx. three years of English

Each level consists of a Student's Book, Workbook and cassette, Teacher's Book and a set of class cassettes. There are also videos to accompany the course.
