A longer version exists for classes with more class hours.

A course in English for young students, drawn from the material in Cambridge English for Schools. It is suitable for classes with fewer hours (approx. 40-60 hours), and provides a direct route through the language syllabus. The main differences between Cambridge English for Schools (all versions: CES/CEW/CSC/CESM) and Cambridge English Worldwide are:

    Cambridge English for Schools
  • 80-100+ hours of material
  • 6 Themes with 5 units each: topic, language focus, activity, culture matters, revision
  • Student's book: 160 pages
  • Workbook contains listening work
  • 5 levels (Starter, 1, 2, 3 and 4)
    Cambridge English Worldwide
  • 40-60 hours of material
  • 6 Themes with 2 units each (Topic, Language focus) and 6 optional units (revision/extension)
  • Students Book 96 pages
  • Separate Listening and speaking pack available
  • 6 levels (Starter, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Both courses follow the same language syllabus and provide the same amount of focussed language practice, although as CEWw is for courses with less time, each level of CES and CEWw reaches different points. See the syllabus maps.
